Collecting Change this September
In September, Kwik Stop, Dairy Queen, and Fazoli’s are partnering with Hospice of Dubuque to raise awareness and funds to help meet the mission of providing compassionate care to the terminally ill and their loved ones.
“We are looking forward to our September partnership with Hospice of Dubuque. The work they do for the Tri-State area is beneficial to so many. Often the impact of this group is unknown until they are needed.” Tessa Fahey, Director of Operations, Rainbo Oil Company said. “Through this partnership and our resources, we can help educate the community of Hospice’s mission by advertising and placing information in our Kwik Care canisters at all Kwik Stop, Dairy Queen, and Fazoli’s locations throughout September. Whether it is loose change or our round-up button, a little change can help make a change.”
The Kwik Care philosophy began in 2002 with the simple idea of providing joy to 10 local families who needed assistance during that Christmas season. Through this mission, Kwik Care has developed into a program that provides funding for many organizations within the local Dubuque communities, donating almost $1.5 million since inception.
Following an application process, 12 local nonprofit organizations are selected to be a Kwik Care partner for one month. During the organization’s designated month, 100% of the money collected from Kwik Care canisters is donated to that organization. Kwik Care canisters are located at all Kwik Stop, Dairy Queen, and Fazoli's cash registers.
