The Willow Circle
The Willow Circle

Hospice of Dubuque launched The Willow Circle in January 2026. This series was designed as a compassionate grief support group specifically for persons aged 55 and under grieving the death of their spouse or significant other. We recognize this grief is unique and often brings added stressors and decisions, and we want to ensure no one has to navigate this grief alone. This support group offered an opportunity for connection, understanding, and healing.

The Willow Circle has been developed to offer a landing space for grieving individuals to gather, talk openly, and find validation in a community that cares. Named for the willow tree—an enduring symbol of resilience, hope, and grace—The Willow Circle provides a safe, welcoming space for sharing stories, learning coping tools, and building meaningful relationships with others who truly understand the experience this particular grief journey brings.

The Willow Circle is hosted by Hospice of Dubuque’s bereavement team and is open to anyone grieving the death of a partner, regardless of when the death occurred or whether their loved one was a Hospice of Dubuque patient.
