November is National Hospice Month

As the seasons begin to change and the leaves start to fall, our community begins to prepare for Thanksgiving, a time for focusing on what truly matters—family, friends, and memories. It only seems fitting that National Hospice Month occurs during November. During this time, Hospice of Dubuque extends appreciation to the dedicated hospice professionals and selfless volunteers who journey with patients and families in their time of need.

Every year, we commemorate National Hospice Month to raise awareness about the benefits and services offered by your hometown hospice. Hospice of Dubuque provides life-honoring care that listens with respect, comforts with compassion, and supports with understanding. Our team addresses the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of each individual we serve. We are available day and night, weekends, and holidays. Services are provided wherever you call home—private residence, apartment, assisted living, memory care, or a nursing home.

You can begin services with Hospice of Dubuque when the time is right for you. Remember, hospice is not just for the final days of life. Many patients experience care for six months or even longer. Studies have shown that patients who choose hospice care live better and often live longer. One of the most frequent comments we hear from families who choose Hospice of Dubuque is, “We wish we would have called you sooner.”
